Y YORKTOWN HIGH SCHOOL & OTHER SCHOOLS IN THIS DISTRICT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ YORKTOWN HIGH SCHOOL Take route 287 east and, after going past White Plains, exit for the Taconic Parkway northbound Take the Taconic State Parkway north and, after going past Mohansic Lake and Theodore Roosevelt Park Get off at the exit for Route 202 Peekskill - Yorktown. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 202 and head toward Yorktown. After turning right onto Route 202, start counting traffic lights. At the third traffic light, turn right. At the bottom of the hill you will see the High School on your right The parking lot on your left and Strang Middle School ahead on the left. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brookside Elementary School Exit from the Taconic, turn right and stay on Route 202 (Past the high school, middle school and Police station) All the way into the center of Yorktown. At the traffic light you will see a lot of signs indicating the junction of Routes 202, 118 and 35. Turn left at this light onto Route 35. At the second comer turn left onto Broad Street About 1/4 mile down Broad Street you will see the school on your left Parking is in the rear Turn left at the driveway just before the school ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crompond School At the second traffic turn left onto route 132 Go about 1-¼ miles and make a left onto Salem Road (If you go down a hill and see London Woods on your right. You have gone two blocks too far. Turn around and go back.) At the end of Salem Road turn left onto Manor. At the end of Manor turn right. The school will he right in front of you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mildred Strang Middle School At the third traffic light, turn right. At the bottom of the hill you will see the High School on your right The parking lot on your left and Strang Middle School ahead on the left. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mohansic Elementary School At the second traffic light, turn left onto Route 132. At the first corner (just before the fire station) turn right onto Locksley St. At the top of the hill you will see the school entrance on your left ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yorktown Community Center Old Sixth Grade School Exit from the Taconic Turn right and stay on Route 202 (past the high school, middle school and police station) All the way into the center of Yorktown. At the traffic light you will see a lot of signs indicating the junction of Routes 202, 118 and 35. Go straight through this traffic light Just before the next light you will see an old brick building on your left This is the Community Center (Sixth Grade School) Parking is in the rear of the building Turn left at the light and left again after you go by the building. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
